Rob Lovell
Co-founder & CEO
Rob is a successful serial IT entrepreneur, with experience in both start-up companies and running multi-national IT organisations. Rob started his first business at the age of 20, successfully merging it 2 years later in 2001 with the US-based Hostway Corporation. Rob stayed on for another 4 years as UK President, helping to build up the European and worldwide operations from £20m to £70m through organic and acquisitive growth, and helping the company to become a top 10 worldwide hosting provider with over 600,000 customers. Rob then served as Director of Alliances at Parallels Inc., a profitable virtualisation software company with over 1,000,000 customers, and has aided in the company's amazing 170% year-on-year growth. Rob also serves on the board of Robson Communications Inc.
David Pratt
Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer
David has nearly 15 years' experience in the technology industry, working his way up from an internal sales role to starting his own web hosting business. In 1993, David joined STMicroelectronics, the fifth largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world, taking up a distribution sales management role. David then moved to product marketing at TI in 1995. His work focused on the Nordic region, where he worked closely with the channel and direct business, before moving to a similar role covering the UK and Ireland. In 1999 and without any external investment, David started his own hosting services company, Firstserv. Within 4 years, the company had organically grown to become a profitable multi-million pound business, providing hosting to SMEs through corporate clients.
Milovan Milic
Director of Engineering
Milovan has had a distinguished career in computer system architecture and systems management. Having studied Computer Science, he began his career at start-up Solid Host as CTO, developing the system strategy. Milovan then moved to heading the virtualisation platforms for Defender Technologies Inc., one of the largest providers of virtual server technologies to SMBs in the US. He then went on to build out the virtualisation and automation platforms within Firstserv, an established UK hosting provider. Milovan manages the ThinkGrid systems engineering teams in Subotica (Serbia) and London.
Jolyon Ryall
Director of Operations
Jo has been involved in the web hosting industry for over 10 years, specialising in system development and customer support. Formerly a consultant programmer, Jo joined the Hostway Corporation as Head of Systems, managing complex IT projects and rollouts of thousands of servers in the UK, US and Netherlands. He then went on to work as Director of Customer Experience at Fasthosts, one of the UK's largest web hosting companies, re-organising their customer touch functions and operations, before joining ThinkGrid.
Gordon Henderson
Board Advisor
Gordon has accumulated 17 years of experience in general management, marketing, sales, strategy and M&A. Most recently, he served on the board of RSA Insurance in the capacity of Strategy, Marketing & Customer Director. Gordon also served as UK Managing Director for Cendant, one of the world’s foremost providers of travel and real estate services. Before that, he was Marketing Director for buy.com, one of the largest online IT retailers.
Mike Lovell
Board Advisor
Mike has been at the forefront of the internet services revolution, having built up an incredible array of experiences building automated Windows-based systems. Along with his brother Rob, Mike merged their company with Hostway in 2001, where he spearheaded the development of one of the first automated provisioning systems. He then became Global Head of Windows with Hostway Corporation in Chicago, managing the development arm of a company with over 30,000 servers. Mike provides advice on the development and architecture of the ThinkGrid cloud, whilst still serving at the Hostway Corporation in Chicago.
